Set up your eSIM in minutes
No SIM card, no shop, no fuss. Just pick your device below and follow the simple steps — you’ll be connected the moment you land.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Connections, then select SIM Manager.
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Choose to Scan QR code or enter the Activation code (SM-DP+ address) manually.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the plan.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Network & internet.
- Tap the (+) Add icon next to SIMs.
- When asked if you don’t have a SIM card, tap Next.
- Select “Download a SIM instead?” and follow the prompts to scan your QR code or enter your code manually.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Network & internet or Mobile networks.
- Go to Manage eSIM or Add eSIM.
- Choose to scan your carrier’s QR code or select “Need help?” to enter the details manually.
Rename your new eSIM. We suggest giving it the coverage name and the date (for example “Europe – Jun 2026”). This prevents confusion with older eSIMs you may already have on the device.
Once the eSIM profile has installed successfully and you’ve set a unique name, turn it on:
- Toggle it On: make sure your new eSIM is toggled on in your SIM Manager.
- Turn on Data Roaming: since this is a travel eSIM, you must enable it for roaming — go to your mobile network settings and turn Data Roaming ON.
- Turn off your Primary SIM: we strongly suggest turning off your primary SIM to avoid unexpected roaming charges, or at least disabling its roaming. If you use a local carrier eSIM at home, you can usually keep both active as a dual-SIM setup.
Click the QR image you got in the email, or follow the steps below. If your carrier emailed or printed a QR code, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Mobile Services.
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Tap Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code with your iPhone camera.
Follow the on-screen prompts to label your new plan.
Once installed, you can configure how your phone uses the two lines:
- Label your plans: name one “Primary” (home) and the other “Secondary” or “Travel.” Because you may have more than one eSIM, we recommend labelling it with the name of the destination and — very important — the date. This helps you avoid activating the wrong eSIM later.
- Set Default Voice Line: if relevant, choose which number rings and sends texts by default.
- Toggle Mobile Data: select which SIM provides internet access. To use the new eSIM you just installed, select it for Mobile Data.
- Enable Data Roaming: very important — turn Data Roaming ON for your new eSIM, but keep it OFF for your primary home SIM to avoid extra fees.
